Nepal PM heads to quake affected sites with medical team

Nepal President Ramchandra Paudel and Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal had expressed sadness over the loss of lives and property in the earthquake that took place in Jajarkot and Rukum West on Friday night.
Prime Minister embarked to the earthquake-affected areas with health workers and essential supplies. He had gone to the affected areas with a medical team including 16 members of the Nepali Army and necessary materials for the rescue, search and relief of the earthquake survivors.
Appealing everyone concerned to help with the rescue and relief efforts, Prime Minister Dahal said that all three security agencies have been mobilized for immediate search and rescue of injured people in the quake.
A shallow 5.6-magnitude earthquake hit a remote pocket of Nepal and a total of 128 people have been reported dead in Jajarkot and Rukum West while 62 injured are undergoing treatment at the municipal hospital in Radi.
