NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte Visits Ankara

NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte visited Türkiye for high-level talks with National Defense Minister Yaşar Güler and Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan.

The discussions centered on strengthening the alliance, regional security challenges, and the escalating situation in the Middle East. The progress on establishing a “Multilateral NATO Corps” within Türkiye was also reviewed. In his meeting with Minister Güler, Rutte discussed successful integration of Turkish airspace security with NATO’s broader air and missile defense architecture.
