National Day Reception: MONPIFER UM attended Egypt National Day reception

A reception to mark the 74th National Day of the Arab Republic of Egypt was held in the evening on July 7 at the Melia Hotel in Yangon.

First, Mrs. Aya Saad Mohamed Abdelkarim, Ambassador of the Arab Republic of Egypt to Myanmar, along with officials, warmly welcomed and greeted Union Minister for the Ministry of National Planning, Investment and Foreign Economic Relations, U Aung Kyaw Hoe as well as other attendees of the reception.

Afterward, the ceremony commenced with the national anthems of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar and the Arab Republic of Egypt.

The Ambassador delivered a welcome address, followed by a congratulatory speech from the Union Minister.

Subsequently, the Union Minister and the Ambassador jointly cut the cake in commemoration of the 74th National Day of the Arab Republic of Egypt. The Ambassador then hosted a dinner reception for the guests in attendance.

The reception was attended by Yangon Region Chief Minister U Aung Naing Thu, Mayor of Yangon U Myo Myint Aung, ambassadors and chargés d'affaires from foreign embassies in Yangon, resident representatives of UN agencies and other invited guests, it’s learnt.
