Myanmar-Thailand Trade: 49.13 Million USD Fishery Products Exported To Thailand

Department of Fisheries reported that Myanmar-Thailand trade amounted to 49.13 million USD. Between October and November 2021, Myanmar’s Kawthoung District exported 46,593 tons of fishery products to Ranong Province of Thailand.

Kawthoung District also imported 1,249 tons of products worth 3.16 million USD from Thailand. The main exported products to Thailand are fish and prawn. In Kawthoung District of Tanintharyi Region, there are over 40 companies exporting fishery products to Thailand.

Department of Fisheries under the Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock and Irrigation is organized with the objectives of the conservation of fisheries resources, food security of sustainable fish consumption and contribution of aquaculture technology for the people.
