Myanmar-Pakistan: MoALI UM received Ambassador of Pakistan

Union Minister for Agriculture, Livestock and Irrigation U Min Naung received Mr. Tariq Karim, Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan to Myanmar, at the reception hall of the Union Minister’s Office in Nay Pyi Taw on January 13.

During the meeting, they held frank and cordial discussions on matters related to enhancing bilateral trade in basic agricultural and livestock products, cooperation in research and development including the production of hybrid cotton seeds and the development of new cotton varieties through the use of biotechnology to produce high-quality, pest-resistant and climate-resilient cotton, the development of the dairy buffalo industry and technologies for meat production and market expansion. The meeting was also attended by the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock and Irrigation, Directors General, and relevant officials, it is reported.
