Myanmar / India: Senior General Receives Outgoing Indian Ambassador

Chairman of the State Administration Council (SAC) Prime Minister Senior General Min Aung Hlaing on Thursday afternoon received Indian Ambassador to Myanmar Mr. Saurabh Kumar who had completed his tour of duty.

In this meeting at the Office of the Chairman of the State Administration Council in Nay Pyi Taw, the Senior General expressed his condolences to late General Bipin Rawat, Chief of Defence Staff of the Indian Armed Forces, who lost his life in the recent helicopter crash in India.

Also, they exchanged views on friendly ties and cooperation measures between Myanmar and India, the assistance of India to Myanmar for COVID-19 prevention, cooperation in bilateral trade, economic affairs, agriculture and livestock sectors as well as in security and defence between the two armed forces of the countries.

Also present at the meeting were Joint Secretary of the State Administration Council Lt-Gen Ye Win Oo and Union Minister for Foreign Affairs U Wunna Maung Lwin.
