Myanmar / India: 24th Myanmar-India Border Officials’ Regional Level Meeting

The 24th Myanmar-India border officials’ regional level meeting was held on Monday in Nay Pyi Taw.

The meeting focused on security, drugs eradication, border management, detained persons in the two countries, MoU on wild life trade and human trafficking prevention and eradication and capacity building. The meeting was attended by Myanmar’s Ministry of Home Affairs’ Minister Office Director General, India’s Ministry of Home Affairs Joint Secretary and many other officials.

The Myanmar-India border officials’ regional level meeting is held alternatively in Myanmar and India since the signing of the MoU on Myanmar-India border officials’ cooperation on the 21st of January in 1994 in New Delhi of India.
