Myanmar Culture: Chinese CCTV To Make Documentary Programme

A film crew of China Central Television (CCTV) is shooting the scenes of significant places in Yangon, Mandalay and ancient cultural city Bagan beginning 5 January.

The documentary programme is to mark the 70th anniversary of diplomatic establishment between Myanmar and China. The Chinese shooting crew filmed Shwedagon, Sule and Botahtaung pagodas, Yangon City Hall and Independence Monument in Maha Bandula Park on 5 January and they took the scenes in Hotel Zone (1) of Nay Pyi Taw on the 6th.

The programme for CCTV will also include ancient cultural temples and pagodas in Bagan, Mt Popa, Mandalay Palace and Mandalay Hill. The documentary programme will be aired on CCTV Channel.
