





Chairman of the State Administration Council Prime Minister Senior General Min Aung Hlaing met with MSME businessmen of Dawei District in Dawei on Friday. Chief Minister U Myat Ko reported on implementation of MSME businesses in the region, production process at the industrial zone, conducting training for MSME development and assistance being provided for the MSME businesses.
The attendees also reported on rubber cultivation and export, the needs of low interest loan, fertilizer production, weaving industry, marine production, ease of restrictions for inshore fishing boats, establishment of industrial zone in Dawei, tourism development, livestock breeding tasks and development of regional economy.
The Union Ministers later discussed the plans for loan disbursement, the needs to pay back the previous loans in time for economic development, establishment of Cooperatives Associations for income generation and rural development, implementation of contract farming system, conservation of mangrove forests, implementation of rattan industry, assistance to be provided for smooth flow of regional products and time announcement of trade statistics.
In his speech, the Prime Minister said there are many promising prospects for successful implementation of domestic economy. Agriculture and livestock breeding tasks are the strong economy of the country for economic development, import substitution and boosting export.
He added that there has seen progress in the domestic economy and more progress could be achieved through the concerted efforts. He urged all to make cooperative efforts for development of Dawei area, and boosting production, and pledged that the government will provide assistance for the successful implementation of the development works.
The Prime Minister later viewed the displays of foodstuff, commodity goods, industrial products, traditional handicrafts, garments and traditional medicines. The Prime Minister and party later toured Dawei along the Strand Road.
