







Union Minister for Industry and MSME Development Dr. Charlie Than received a delegation led by the Chair of the Federation of Myanmar Engineering Societies at the Ministry on Thursday.
As the 10th World MSME Day which falls on June 27th will be observed under the theme “The Future Generation of MSMEs”, the Union Minister highlighted the role of new generation MSME entrepreneurs amid trendy AI technology and the Ministry's efforts on productivity and competitiveness of local MSME sector.
For more effective utilization of digital technologies by future MSME entrepreneurs, AI Foundational Awareness training course will be conducted via online nationwide and plans are underway to conduct Hands-on Bootcamp training in three economic hubs of Nay Pyi Taw, Yangon and Mandalay.
Furthermore, the Union Minister mentioned that this program is aligned with the Myanmar Digital Economy Roadmap 2030, and pledged to provide assistance for the national interest businesses. The Chair of the Federation provided update reports on current industrial development efforts with workplace safety, plans to open AI for MSME training course and participation of the federation in World MSME Day. The Union Minister later made a closing remark.
