MoSWRR -UNHCR: MoSWRR UM received UNHCR

Union Minister for Social Welfare, Relief, and Resettlement Dr. Soe Win, received a courtesy call from Mr. Filippo Grandi, United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR), at the meeting hall of the ministry in Nay Pyi Taw in the afternoon on September 9.

During the meeting, they cordially exchanged views on the High Commissioner’s priority visit to Myanmar as his tenure will end soon, progress on signing a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between the ministry and the UNHCR Office, provisions of humanitarian assistance by the UNHCR to the disaster victims, matters related to internally displaced persons (IDPs) in Rakhine State, and continued collaboration between the ministry and UN agencies.
