Morocco-Kazakhstan: Strengthening relationships

The Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Kazakhstan met with the Moroccan Foreign Minister in Rabat on Friday.

During the bilateral talks, the visiting minister expressed “his country’s support for the sovereignty and territorial integrity of the Kingdom”. He also stressed its support for the exclusive political process of the United Nations on the issue of the Moroccan Sahara, which is being conducted in accordance with Security Council resolutions.

Last October, the Security Council issued a resolution in which it reaffirmed the seriousness and credibility of the autonomy initiative as well as the criteria for a realistic, pragmatic, lasting and consensus-based political solution to the artificial conflict over the Moroccan Sahara, calling on Algeria to abandon its boycott of the round tables as a major party to the conflict.
