More job creation and exports: Finished wood products factory inspected

Deputy Minister for Natural Resources and Environmental Conservation U Tun Ohn visited the finished wood products factory of the National Wood Industry in Dagon Myothit (East) Industrial Zone in Yangon Region on the weekend and inspected stockpiling of teak logs with tender system, cutting timbers by using modern machines, manufacturing of finished products and new export finished products by using high technology and modern machines.

At the briefing hall of the factory, official reported on manufacturing and exporting of finished wood products including decking and production of wood-based finished products for local and abroad. In response to the report, the Deputy Minister called for more job opportunities for the people and more exports of teak based finished materials to local and foreign markets.

The National Wood Industry Limited which is an MSME company is exporting Myanmar teak-based finished products to foreign countries every year. The ministry and relevant private entrepreneurs are working together to develop the MSME sector and to export more to foreign markets.
