Monsoon Tree Planting : MOIMSMED held its 2026 monsoon tree-planting

The Ministry of Industry and MSME Development held its 2026 monsoon tree-planting ceremony Tuesday morning at Location No. 9 of the Gulley Dam, Office No. 37, in Nay Pyi Taw.

The Union Minister for Industry and MSME Development, Dr. Charlie Than, attended and delivered a speech. He led the planting of a premium-grade teak tree and, together with responsible officials, toured and encouraged the staff—both officers and staff from various departments and industries as they collectively planted trees at designated sites.

The Ministry of Industry and MSME Development planted a total of 6,751 trees during the 2026 monsoon tree-planting festival, consisting of 35 species, including premium-grade teak and hardwoods, fruit-bearing trees, and perennial plants, it’s reported.
