Modi embarks on 4-day visit to Uzbekistan & Kyrgyz Republic

Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday, held discussions with Uzbekistan President Shavkat Mirziyoyev on further strengthening the India-Uzbekistan Strategic Partnership.

The talks are focus on key areas including trade and investment, digital connectivity, defense and energy. The two leaders also discussed their shared visions for the development of India and Uzbekistan. From Tashkent, at the invitation of President of the Kyrgyz Republic, Sadyr Zhaparov, the Prime Minister will travel to Bishkek to participate in the 26th SCO Summit, marking 25 years of this important organisation. 

He will also be meeting President Zhaparov and other SCO leaders, and to attend the Opening Ceremony of the 6th World Nomad Games, a celebration of the rich living heritage of Central Asia that India holds in deep respect.
