MNCWA meeting: Union Minister for MoSWRR addressed the meeting

The Myanmar National Committee for Women’s Affairs held a meeting (1/2022) at the meeting hall of the Ministry of Social Welfare, Relief and Resettlement, Nay Pyi Taw on Thursday.

At the meeting, Chairperson of the Myanmar National Committee for Women’s Affairs Union Minister for Social Welfare, Relief and Resettlement Dr Thet Thet Khine said that MNCWA was restructured under the leadership of the State Administration Council and is implementing women development affairs by laying down 4 principles and 7 work responsibilities.

In such an implementation, the MNCWA is carrying out the inter-departmental collaboration as well as it’s formed with the inclusion of women organizations which are undertaking the women’s affairs actively. The women committees have been formed in 330 townships, 74 districts and 15 Nay Pyi Taw Council, regions and states.

Next, the vice chairperson of MNCWA deputy minister U Aung Tun Khaing reported the implementations for the women’s development and protection.

Then, the committee secretary director general of the department of social welfare reported the work implementations on the decisions of MNCWA meeting (1/2021).

Afterward, the chairpersons and secretaries of Nay Pyi Taw Council, regions and states and the members of MNCWA clarified the work implementations in the relevant regions and the union minister gave a speech of conclusion.
