MISIS Seminar: Non-traditional Security among MLC

Under the Mekong-Lancang Cooperation (MLC), Myanmar Institute of Strategic and International Studies (MISIS) held a seminar on Non-traditional Security Matters among the MLC countries, on 14 July.

It was attended by members of the Myanmar-ISIS, professors and research fellows from respective Think Tanks of Cambodia, Lao PDR, Viet Nam, Thailand and the People’s Republic of China.

Deputy Minister for Foreign Affairs U KyawMyoHtut gave his welcome remarks followed by the MLC statement by Chinese Ambassador to Myanmar Mr. Chen Hai.

Consequently, the Chairman of MISIS extended opening remarks. Those present made frank and open discussions on cooperation mechanism to address the terrorism, human trafficking related online gambling and scamming, cyber crimes, so also reduction of food security and extreme poverty.
