Middle Paung Laung Hydropower Project: Plant to annuallygenerate 592 million KWH electricity

The Middle Paung Laung Hydropower project which was started in 2014-2015 financial year has been completed about 8% of the whole project. Upon completion, this hydropower Plant will generate annually 592 million kilowatt-hours of electricity.

According to an official of Department of Hydropower Implementation, the project will be handed over to the Pan Theingi Energy Co.,Ltd. under the BOT system at the end of the February and the plan will start to generate power generation in 2026-2027.The Middle Paung Laung Hydropower project is located about 20 miles northeast of Pyinmana Township, Nay Pyi Taw Council Area.
