Mexican authorities announced the seizure of more than one ton of methamphetamine and the dismantling of four clandestine drug laboratories in western Mexico, according to the country’s Security Ministry. The operation took place in the state of Michoacán, an area heavily affected by cartel activity and synthetic drug production.

The raids were part of Mexico’s intensified anti-cartel operations targeting synthetic drug manufacturing networks linked to organized crime groups. Mexican authorities said the seizures represented a significant economic blow to trafficking organizations operating in the region.
