Mental health NGO holds street parade ahead of Brazil carnival

As the legendary carnival of Rio de Janeiro approaches, participants of the Suburban Craziness street carnival group engage in singing, dancing, and performing samba.

This year, Suburban Craziness celebrates its 25th anniversary, having been founded in 2001. The group aims to include psychiatric patients from the Municipal Institute Nise da Silveira (Brazilian psychiatrist), along with their families and mental health professionals, in the festivities of the carnival.
