Deputy Commander in Chief of Defence Services General Kyaw Swar Lin met with the Platoon Commander, Company Commander and Commanding Officer and training coaches at the Ba Htoo Station on May 28th.

During the meeting, General Kyaw Swar Lin said Myanmar is geographically located as a geopolitical pivot between two major powers with different political systems. He added that the country was an independent kingdom where various ethnic groups lived peacefully together until it was colonized by the British imperialists. Independence was later regained through the joint struggle of the people and patriotic armed forces.

He also stated that the Tatmadaw and the people had to work together to resist foreign aggression encouraged by powerful Western countries. Due to the country’s historical background and geographical position, it is necessary to firmly pursue a genuine disciplined multi-party democratic system, desired by the people, as well as to build a Union based on democracy and federalism. He urged all to make efforts to strengthen the capabilities of the Tatmadaw in order to maintain national stability and peace.

After the meeting, General Kyaw Swar Lin and party toured around the training compound inspecting hostels.  At the briefing hall of the Tatmadaw (Army) Combat Forces School (Bahtoo), the General and party heard clarification on teaching process and military development measures by the commandants of Tatmadaw (Army) Combat Forces School (Bahtoo), and Tatmadaw (Army) Cadet Training School (Bahtoo) and the Deputy Commandant of Tatmadaw (Army) Warrant Officer and Sergeant Training School. The General coordinated the requirements on the reports.
