"Only by reading and studying extensively can one gain knowledge and wisdom, and be able to distinguish between right and wrong, good and evil. The military is not only working to ensure the children of military personnel and their families achieve higher education, but is also striving to promote the development of military personnel's own educational standards.

Encouragement and efforts must be made to ensure that the children become educated youths capable of critical thinking. All children of military personnel must be enabled to participate in annual grade promotions, and concerted efforts must be made to ensure they achieve at least a KG+9 level of education."

These remarks were made by the Commander-in-Chief of Defence Services, General Ye Win Oo, during his meeting and address Monday morning to officers, ranks, and their families from the Kalaw Station at the local headquarters hall. Furthermore, the Commander-in-Chief of Defence Services continued that in 2021, terrorist groups attempted various tactics to sow discord between the Tatmadaw and the people.

Due to some staff members lacking clear understanding of politics and national affairs and being misled into conducting destructive campaigns (DCS), the Tatmadaw had to strive for the state and the public amidst numerous difficulties. Moving forward, under the leadership of the government, the Tatmadaw and the people must continue to fulfill national defense duties with unified strength.

He added that the Tatmadaw is progressively recapturing and controlling towns and villages temporarily held by terrorist insurgents, and is rebuilding government office buildings, hospitals, schools, and local residents' homes that were destroyed by these insurgents. He then addressed the presentations made by individual officers, ranks, and their wives, coordinating with responsible officials as needed.

After the meeting, the Commander-in-Chief presented food provisions to the officers, ranks, and families, which were received by the Station Commander. His wife, Daw Nilar, presented funds to the maternal and child welfare associations, which were received by the Station Commander's wife. Subsequently, the Commander-in-Chief and officials cordially greeted and spoke with the attending officers, ranks, and family members. In the evening, the Commander-in-Chief and officials visited and inspected the Nanthida Multi-Agriculture and Livestock Farms under the East Command.

At the briefing hall, the Commander explained the operations of the Nanthida multi-agriculture and livestock farms. The Commander-in-Chief provided necessary guidance and directives, then toured the farms to inspect the implementation of agricultural and livestock activities. He coordinated and addressed the necessary issues based on the explanations provided by responsible officials, it’s reported.
