Meeting with locals: SAC Chairman met with the officials and township elders

The Chairman of State Administration Council Prime Minister Senior General Min Aung Hlaing met with the departmental officials and township-elders of Kyunsu Township at the Township Hall and addressed regarding the regional developments in the morning on January 15.

Also present at the meeting were the members accompanied on the inspection tour of SAC Chairman, Region Chief Minister, Commander of Coastal Region Command, departmental personnel, members of Township War Veteran Organization, Township elders and officials.

 First, the Kyunsu Township Administrator U Aung San Win clarified the status of township’s livestock breeding, agriculture, cultivation of rubber, coconut and palm-oil trees, production of marine resources, electricity consumption, undergoing of issuing citizen scrutiny card, providing health and education and the assistances provided to Salon nationals, visits of foreigners to the regional islands, hotel and tourism sector, pearl production and requirements for the region.

Next, regarding the clarifications and implementations of the ministries, the union ministers reported the re-opening of Myeik-Dawei-Kawthaung flight, arrangements for resuming the islands circular flight in coming week, running of water transportation smoothly and safely, the conditions facilitated local economic development by producing local products meeting the standards to effectively use the visiting of local and international tourists, technical assistance for agriculture and livestock breeding and SME loans that can be provided, production of pearl, tin, tungsten and edible birds nest and the conditions supported regional developments based on the islands.

Afterward, the Chairman of State Administration Council Prime Minister stressed the needs of supporting education as the human resources who have knowledge and skills are required in the implementation of regional development works, focusing on high yield crops rather than the extension of growing acreage for the regional food security, cultivation of coconut in commercial scale and production of valued-added coconut products, Kyunsu Township will improve by utilizing natural resources and the state will provide necessary technical assistance.

The prime minister also gave necessary guidelines for the development of tourism sector, generating hydro-power, solar power and wind power for the township’s development and the collaboration of departmental personnel, Tatmataw, Township’s elders and locals in unity.

Then, the SAC chairman prime minister provided foodstuffs and personal items for the township’s departmental personnel and township elders and the township administration accepted them. After the meeting, the Chairman of State Administration Council Prime Minister and members cordially greeted the attendees of the meeting.
