Meeting on human trafficking: 10th meeting on cooperation to combat human trafficking held

The 10th Meeting on Cooperation to Combat Trafficking in Persons between Myanmar Police Force and Royal Thai Police was held at Park Royal Hotel, Nay Pyi Taw in the morning on May 25th with the attendance of 16 members of Myanmar delegation led by Deputy Chief (1) of Myanmar Police Force Police Maj-Gen Aung Aung and 12 members of Thai delegation led by Deputy Chief of Royal Thai Police Pol. Gen. Surachate Hakparn.

At the meeting, the both sides cordially exchanged viewed on the status of implementations on the decisions made at the 9thMeeting on Cooperation to Combat Trafficking in Persons between Myanmar Police Force and Royal Thai Police held in Thailand in 2019, conditions of border crossing human trafficking cases, preventive measures for trafficking in person, changing patterns of human trafficking and the cases of working by foreigners from Thailand at the border towns of Myanmar, the human trafficking offenders presence in Thailand, investigation, capturing and transferring fugitives at large after taking action under the oversea employment law and the matters of joint-preventive measures for those who are crossing border of Myanmar and Thailand illegally.
