Meeting with Families: SG met Tatmadawmen and families of Lashio Station

Chairman of the State Administration Council Commander-in-Chief of Defence Services Senior General Min Aung Hlaing met with Tatmadawmen and families from Lashio Station on 8th April.

The Senior General said Myanmar reached its Diamond Jubilee of Independence in the coming year, but the country is still facing the armed conflicts and could not enjoy the peace.

During the colonial rule, they practiced divide and rule tactic due to the gaps of prosperity, transportation and development between hilly and plain region.

Being governed by different administrative rules, the national brethren have come up with the concept that their areas have been separated from the main land, and this is the fact that bring jeopardy to the country till to date.

While Tatmadaw is taking responsibility of the state, efforts have been made for harmonious residing of all citizens with the union spirit. Although Bamar are the most in the country, there are 8 major national races and 135 ethnic tribes.

Some of them are 100,000 in numbers while some only have 1,000. It is the best to practice the union based on democracy and federal system. The 2008 Constitution has already prescribed the rules and regulations of federal system despite the term federal did not mention.

Tatmadaw is striving to strengthen the discipline flourishing multiparty democracy system and to build the union based on democracy and federal system. In doing so, efforts have been made for prosperity and food sufficiency of the nation as two national duties.

The Senior General urged all to strive for becoming high intelligent persons that can guarantee for democracy and future of the nation.

The Senior General and wife later presented foodstuff and cash assistance for the Tatmadawmen and families and maternal and child welfare association of the station. The Senior General and party later visited the station military hospital and encouraged the patients.
