






Chairman of the State Security and Peace Commission, Commander in Chief of Defences Services Senior General Min Aung Hlaing held a meeting with officers, other ranks and families of Mandalay Station at Central Command in Mandalay on Sunday.
During the meeting, the Senior General said Phase-I and -II of General Election had been successfully held and Phase-III has been held on Sunday. During the Phase-III of Election in Mandalay, he observed the polling stations and he saw the active casting of young voters. Since about 55% of eligible voters casted their votes in Phases I and II, it can be said as successful election.
The Senior General also said that the government conducted the free, fair and disciplined election with the use of Myanmar Electronic Voting Machine (MEVM) in order not to get voting fraud. He added that the government will transfer the State power to the winning political party elected through the election.
The International observer teams visited to observe the election process and made the positive remarks. The Senior General expressed his appreciation to all who contributed to holding of the successful general election. The Senior General said officers and other ranks needs to study current development of science and technologies.
He said defending the State from various dangers is the duty of Tatmadaw, and it is necessary to strive to become a skilled and capable Tatmadaw and asked the necessaries of Tatmadawmen. Then, the Senior General provided foodstuff to officers, other ranks and families as well as the wife of Senior General provided cash assistance to Maternal and Child Welfare Association. After the meeting, the Senior General, his wife and party cordially greeted the officers, other ranks and families.
