Meeting with Cooperative Societies: MCRD UM met with cooperative societies in Phyu

Union Minister for Cooperatives and Rural Development U Hla Moe inspected the Irrigation and Water Utilization Management Department office in Phyu Township, Bago Region, on January 26.

There, the Union Minister met with executive committee members of cooperative societies and departmental staff at the region, district, and township levels. He urged for the coordinated and united collaboration of the four departments under the ministry to successfully achieve the ministry's policies, goals, and objectives. He also emphasized the timely supply of necessary agricultural inputs, seeds, and fertilizers required by farmer-members for the effective implementation of the National Economic Promotion Plan and the Thak Tant Yaung Cooperative Plan.

Additionally, Union Minister called for providing not only necessary technical training but also capital funding for the further development of Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs), continuous monitoring of implementation, and collaborative efforts for the success of Smart Village projects. He directed that village-to-village roads, production roads, rural water supply, and rural electrification projects be completed with quality and within the stipulated fiscal year, and for any projects that cannot be undertaken to be reported back in a timely manner etc. He also inquired about the individual difficulties faced by staff members from each department and took measures to coordinate and fulfill the necessary requirements.

Furthermore, the Union Minister gave necessary instructions regarding the presentations made by the executive committee members of cooperative societies on their ongoing work activities, it’s reported.
