Meeting on Agricultural Sector : AYA Region CM delivered the opening address

A coordination meeting on increasing agricultural production was held on the afternoon of May 16 at Meeting Hall (1) of the Ayeyarwady Region Government Office. The meeting was attended by Ayeyarwady Region Chief Minister U Aye Kyaw, who delivered an opening address.

First, the Chief Minister stated that agricultural inputs provided through the national economic promotion fund must be effectively delivered to farmers, and quality inputs must arrive on time.

He also said that all relevant departments and responsible officials must cooperate together to achieve target crop yields, ensure accurate cultivated acreage records and crop yield data, and promote the socio-economic development of farmers.

Afterwards, the Chief Minister discussed and coordinated necessary matters in response to presentations and discussions made by government ministers attending the meeting and members of the Agricultural Production Improvement Supervisory Committee.

In the morning on May 27, the 29th commemorative painting, cartoon, poster, and computer graphic competition marking the International Day Against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking was held at Basic Education High School No. (11) (Myoma) in Pathein. The Chief Minister, accompanied by responsible officials, toured the venue and encouraged the participating students.

In the afternoon, the Chief Minister and officials attended the ceremony of presenting certificate of passing 2025 Government Dhammacariya  and Pali Pathamapyan  examinations and offering donations, held at the Thathana Beikman Hall in Pathein, where cash prizes and certificates were awarded to the members of Sangha and nuns who successfully passed the examinations. During the ceremony, the Chief Minister and attendees presented awards and certificates to the successful members of Sangha and nuns, it’s reported.
