March snow falls in Texas, blankets El Paso

March snow fell on the Texas border Friday, blanketing El Paso in snow. Residents woke up to flurries, slick roads, and some accumulation and flurries continued in the afternoon.

A winter weather alert was issued Friday afternoon in Midland and Odessa. A long line of cars made their way along highways that flashed warning signs not often seen in Texas saying "Watch for snow or ice on roadways."
