Malaysian Prime Minister meets Chinese Foreign Minister

Malaysian Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim met with visiting Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi on Penang Island at Malaysia's northwest coast on Friday to discuss relations between Malaysia and China and other issues of common concern.

Earlier Friday, Wang arrived in Malaysia, the second leg of his current three-nation tour, which has already taken him to Singapore and which also includes Cambodia. He also met with his Malaysian counterpart.

This year marks the 10th anniversary of the China-Malaysia comprehensive strategic partnership, and next year will be the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic ties between the two countries.
