Macron urges 'coordinated reopening' of Hormuz by US, Iran

French President Emmanuel Macron called on the United States and Iran to reopen the Strait of Hormuz in a “coordinated” way. He emphasized this should be done through diplomatic cooperation, not unilateral military action. Macron also made it clear that France would not join any unclear or purely military operation in the area.
