President Emmanuel Macron on Saturday embarked on a visit to Africa aimed at focusing on cementing his African legacy by hosting the "Africa Forward" summit in Nairobi, Kenya.

This initiative aims to reset France's relationship with the continent, emphasizing a shift toward partnerships in clean energy, AI, and investment rather than traditional military engagement. Macron will co‑host a summit on Monday and Tuesday bringing together African leaders and business executives in Kenya. It was known that he will also travel to Egypt and Ethiopia as part of his Africa tour.
