Macron lays foundation stone of future geotextile factory in southwestern France

French President Emmanuel Macron laid the foundation stone of the future "Occitanie Geotex" factory in southwestern France, which will use locally produced hemp and wool to make geotextiles -- porous fabrics used to control erosion and manage sediment. It is part of France’s effort to rebuild industrial power, support local manufacturing and reduce dependence on imports.
