Legal Affairs: Coordination Meeting On Ongoing Proceedings Held

The coordination meeting of the Union Minister of the Ministry of legal affairs and the Attorney General of the Union with Advocates General of the Region/States regarding with the ongoing proceedings was held at the Ministry of Legal affairs Thursday morning through virtual system.

In her speech, the Union Minister of the Ministry of Legal Affairs and the Attorney General of the Union said that the Office of the Attorney General of the Union was reformed as the Ministry of Legal Affairs on Angst 30, 2021. By reforming such a ministry, the greater cooperation with the union level organizations and other ministries for the coordination of the rule of law and justice will be gained.

As the formation of the office of the ministry, Administration and HR Management Division, policy, law, procedure scrutinizing and work inspection division, planning and account division, internal auditing and finance division, Local and foreign liaison and information division, E-Government division, monitoring and evaluation unit, Public Complaint Scrutiny Division are included.

The implementation of the strategic plan (2015-2019) of the office of the union attorney general has been completed and the ministry of legal affairs is carrying out the phases of the strategic plan (2020-2024) under ability to implement. Especially, the responsible officials from other ministries are being given the training courses to disseminate the legal knowledge in line with the instruction of the Chairman of the State Administration Council.

The working manual and law (draft) drawing manual to cite in entering commercial contracts and scrutinizing draft law were published etc.

Afterward, the Advocates General of the Region and States conducted reciprocal discussions on the status of work implementations, obstacles, matters to overcome the delay proceedings and administrative matters. The deputy minister deputy attorney general U San Lwin, Yangon Region advocate general U Htay Aung and advocate generals of regions and states, director-generals, deputy director-generals and committee members attended the meeting.
