At least 19 dead in bus crash in Peru

At least 19 people were killed in Peru on Monday night after a bus crash. According to reports, 11 women and 8 men were among the victims on a bus heading to Lima along the Canta highway.

The sole survivor, a girl, is reportedly recovering in hospital. On Tuesday, grieving family members were at a morgue in Lima to identify the victims. Authorities are investigating the cause of the crash, but a family member of one of the victims told local media that the driver of the bus was distracted behind the wheel.
