Lavrov on energy policy at conference in India

Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov said on Friday Moscow would no longer rely on Western partners in its energy policies. He said the situation had "influenced" Russian policy including energy which he said "would not anymore rely on any partners in the West."

The United Nations is investigating last September’s sabotage of the Nord Stream 1 and 2 gas pipelines from Russia to Western Europe. Nord Stream 1 carried Russian gas to Germany at the end of August 2022.
