Lake Renovation in Magway: 30 % of Kanthar Lake renovation process completed

The Kanthar Lake in Magway Township has been under renovation under the instruction of Magway Township Development Committee since July to create a recreational area for Magway residents and visitors to be able to spend their free time enjoying the beauty of the lake and doing exercises for health.

Chief Engineer, Magway Township Development Committee, Amy Zun Htwe said "We installed retaining walls to even the different levels of the lake. We also add decks, benches, railings and green area in renovating the lake. Kanthar Lake usually sees about 500 visitors a day. Most of the visitors love to relax here by walking and doing exercises around the lake for health and feeding the fish."

Kanthar lake was a reservoir and 30% of the renovation process has now been completed. Installing water fountain and erecting lamppost are being implemented currently.
