Kite festival fills skies over Sri Lanka's capital

The Derana International Kite Festival 2026 takes place in Colombo on Sunday. The event features 80 international flyers showcasing massive, creative designs alongside food stalls, a night-illuminated display, and a musical concert. It was the Sri Lanka's first-ever illuminated night kite display, attracting over 1,500 local participants from 30 countries.
