Kash Patel sworn in as FBI director

Kash Patel was sworn in as the Ninth director of the Federal Bureau of Investigation at the Eisenhower Executive Office Building in Washington DC on Friday, in the presence of his girlfriend Alexis Wilkins and his family. 

Kash Patel, FBI Director said "I promise you the following. There will be accountability within the FBI and outside of the FBI, and we will do it through rigorous constitutional oversight, starting this weekend."

Following the oath, Patel said that he was living the American dream and added that a "first-generation Indian is about to lead the law enforcement agency of the greatest nation on earth. He also made a strong commitment to ensuring accountability within the FBI.
