
Chairman of the State Administration Council Prime Minister Senior General Min Aung Hlaing sent a message of greetings on the 74th Anniversary of Kachin State Day falling on the 10th of January.
In his message, the Senior General wished all ethnic nationals auspiciousness and health. After the country regained independence, the 10th of January was designated as “the Kachin State Day”. Kachin State is rich in valuable natural resources such as gold, jade and amber and scenic beauties of the natural environment as well.
Kachin State is an origin of the Ayeyawaddy River, the main artery of Myanmar. Traditional costumes, traditional dances and beauties, literature and customs of Kachin ethnics are pleasant. Preserving and uplifting the national characters and national culture will make the patriotic spirit strong and dynamic and will bring many benefits to the country and the nationals.
The main requirement for strengthening the genuine and disciplined multiparty democracy and development of the nation is to ensure peace and tranquility, rule of law, stability of the State and perpetual peace. Through his message, the Senior General urged ethnic armed organizations and all stakeholders not to derail from the path of Nationwide Ceasefire Agreement.
