Japanese astronaut Yui Kimiya has reflected on his stay at the International Space Station, saying he was so comfortable that he didn’t want to return to Earth. Yui, who was born in Nagano Prefecture, spoke at an event on Sunday commemorating the 40th anniversary of a complex in the prefecture’s Ueda City that houses a planetarium.
The event gathered about 450 people from both inside and outside the prefecture. Yui spent more than five months on his second stay at the ISS, from last August to January. He showed videos and talked about completing important missions, including capturing Japan’s new cargo transfer spacecraft with a robotic arm.
