




The foreign ministers of Japan and Mongolia have met and confirmed the importance of the international order based on the rule of law.
They have also agreed to further strengthen cooperation toward regional peace and stability. Japan's Motegi Toshimitsu and Mongolia's Batmunkh Battsetseg met in Ulaanbaatar on Thursday. Motegi expressed support for Mongolia. Ulaanbaatar's foreign policy attaches importance to relations with Japan and other nations that it calls "third neighboring countries."
The ministers confirmed a plan to use yen loans from Japan to fund an expansion of an international airport near Ulaanbaatar. They also affirmed that both countries will deepen cooperation in sectors such as the economy, security and energy.
