Japan, Britain agree to work on boosting supply chains for critical minerals

Japanese Prime Minister Takaichi Sanae and British Prime Minister Keir Starmer have agreed to closely coordinate with like-minded countries to strengthen supply chains for critical minerals.

On the security front, the two leaders agreed to strategically promote cooperation in cyber security, to accelerate trilateral joint development with Italy of a next-generation fighter jet and to hold "two-plus-two" foreign and defense ministerial talks this year. Starmer extended an invitation for Takaichi to visit Britain this year.
