Italian PM given ceremonial welcome in New Delhi

Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni, who is in India to hold talks with Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi, was given a ceremonial reception at the presidential palace in New Delhi on Thursday. The visit is aimed at bolstering bilateral engagement in defence and security, economy and technology.

Meloni will also be the keynote speaker at the 8th Raisina Dialogue 2023 - a conference on geopolitics and geo-economics to discuss the most challenging issues facing the global community. India and Italy are celebrating 75 years of diplomatic relations this year.
