Itaewon tragedy victims' families visit memorial in Seoul where crowd crush took place

Family members of the victims of last year's Itaewon tragedy where more than 150 people were killed in a crowd crush visited the alley and held a press conference ahead of the one year anniversary. A memorial plaque, and visual displays were revealed in front of the family members.
On Thursday, the site of the crush is decorated with hundreds of paper notes filled with messages of grief and tribute for the victims, was designated the "October 29 Memorial Alley". Local authorities this year banned Halloween parties in some popular party districts, but not Itaewon, with many shops and bars opting not to run promotions or decorate for the holiday.
