Israel on Sunday began vaccinating 12 to 15-year-olds who are at risk of suffering severe coronavirus symptoms.Israel is following the U.S. which has already started vaccinating children as young as 12 following the endorsement by health authorities that Pfizer's COVID-19 vaccine is safe to use on younger people.

Last week, Israel lifted almost all pandemic restrictions including the usage of the vaccination certificate, known as the green pass, which only allowed people who were vaccinated to access public venues.Israel has pushed to vaccinate most of its 9.3 million population.
