Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said that actions by Hezbollah are effectively dismantling the ceasefire between Israel and Lebanon.

Speaking during a weekly cabinet meeting, Netanyahu stated that Hezbollah’s violations are undermining the truce in practice. He said the Israel Defense Forces are continuing operations in southern Lebanon and are acting with force, despite perceptions to the contrary.

He added that Israel’s actions are guided by the need to ensure the security of the country, its soldiers, and its communities. Netanyahu also said operations are being carried out in line with rules agreed with the United States and Lebanon, allowing for responses to attacks as well as measures to prevent immediate and emerging threats.
