Iraq and Syria on Saturday signed a landmark agreement to rebuild and rehabilitate the cross-border Kirkuk-Baniyas crude oil pipeline. Once completed, the Mediterranean export route will allow landlocked Iraqi crude to reach global and European markets with far greater flexibility.
