Iranian president holds talks with Russian FM in Tehran

Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian held talks with Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov in Tehran. Lavrov arrived in Tehran for talks with senior officials on a range of topics including bilateral relations, regional developments and the 2015 nuclear deal between Iran and major powers. 

During a meeting, Pezeshkian described the bilateral relationship as growing and stressed the need to accelerate the implementation of agreements, especially the comprehensive strategic agreement between the two countries.  He further emphasized the significance of a continuous, constructive engagement between the two nations. 

The Russian minister also underscored that every effort would be made to sustain and accelerate the growing cooperation and implement bilateral agreements, particularly the comprehensive strategic agreement.
