Iran’s Ambassador to the United Nations, Amir Saeed Iravani, said Iran is ready to resume negotiations once the United States lifts its naval blockade.

Iravani said Washington must first stop “ceasefire violations” before any new round of negotiations can begin. He added that once the blockade is lifted, the next round of talks will take place in Islamabad. Iravani stressed that Iran is prepared for any scenario, saying Tehran has not initiated military aggression. He added that Iran is open to a political solution but is also ready if conflict escalates.
